Ebrima Sarr 2/15/64 – 7/27/09

Last Monday I got some bad news. My co-worker Ebou who had trained me when I started at the Glen Echo Exxon back in January had passed away. Around 4am that morning he was on Bradley Blvd. in Bethesda when there was a car fire. Sadly he did not survive. He leaves behind a wife and 3 children. He is an amazingly nice guy and will be missed bal all who knew him.

Donations for his wife and children are being accepted by managers at Glen Echo Exxon

Police are still trying to piece together a timeline for the last 2 hours of Ebou’s life. If you saw him between 2:18am and 4:00am July 27th 2009 please contact Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5070.

It’s been nearly 2 years since his death (may he rest in peace). Is there any “new” information as to what occurred and how this tragedy happened? What did they find from the autopsy? Can’t seem to find any follow-up information to this case so if anyone knows anything please do tell.

Ebu was a wonderful man, one of the most kind and sincere people I’ve ever encountered, and it really saddens that it appears as though the police have given up on finding out what really happened. I would see him almost daily at the gas station and we would always chat about this and that for a few moments and he often would help me with my car (switch out a lightbulb, pour in washing fluid/oil, etc.). He is greatly missed and I hope his family will have closure to his passing sooner than later. God bless.
