I have my condo !!!!!
I finally went to settlement on the 29th after a few delays. Originally we wrote the contract with a closing date of the 30th but the bank came back and wanted to close on the 24th and we accepted. On the last business day before closing they come back and want to use there right to a 72 hour hold to review the docs. Long story made short I have my keys and am not painting and upgrading fixtures and some of the plumbing.
This is the master bedroom. We elected to keep basically the same colors were just going with a different shade of green. we got this room completely painted last night all that remains is one final coat of green.
This is the kitchen. Not really much to say here it is a narrow brick with old fixtures and appliances. Currently we are painting this room a light purple with a white ceiling. Over the next year I plan to upgrade the cabinets and appliances. I’m thinking not sure if I want dark wood with a light counter or light wood with a dark counter.
The bathroom is another area where I’m not sure what I want to do just yet. I’m thinking about a shower treatment for the shower and am looking at an American Standard 48” vanity from home depot with a grey countertop. Were going to paint the walls a light brown and I want to replace the blue and white tiles with something that does not look like it belongs in an apartment. The mirror and medicine cabinet are slated for removal once I decide what I want to replace it with.
The living room and dinning room are both going to be painted the same light yellow (though I am thinking of picking a different color). There basically two big rooms that should look nice with what little furniture we have right now.
My office/guest room is going to be pretty simple with 3 white walls and the wall with the window will be the same shade of green that we used in the bedroom. The only planned furniture is the my desk a futon and maybe a bookcase and end table.
Last week we picked all the fixtures and doorknobs. Everything is going to be brushed nickel even the outlet and light switch covers. the only thing we have not picked yet is the carpet but I’m planning on a neutral color as my long term plan is to eventually make this a rental property. hopefully in about a month I can post pictures of the completed project.
