I finally got my game server up and running. I decided to setup an Urban Terror server. It is a free total conversion of quake 3 featuring realistic weapons and combat. With current releases you no longer even have to have a copy of quake 3 to play. Get it for free at http://www.urbanterror.net. Check out the stats for my server below. The stats kind of suck right now because I just started the server about 10 minutes ago.
About a year or 2 ago my friend Tony gave me an old blade server he had to play around with. I really didn’t do to much with it as I was working, going to school and trying to buy my condo. Not that I am mostly settled and enjoying my summer brake from school I decided to start playing with it and seeing what I can do with it. So far I have setup filezilla server, remote desktop(both web based and via the desktop client) and have installed urban Terror (quake 3 total conversion). I still need to setup Urban Terror so people can play against me on my own server. Next up on my list is to get a larger hard drive so I can configure remote backup of my other computers and media hub. Not sure what else I can do with it right now. If anyone has any ideas let me know. By the way this post was written on my server while I was at work about 5 miles from it.
